This Act applies to all government-funded and recognized institutions, including <strong>schools, colleges, and universities<\/strong>, under <strong>Section 4(1)(b)<\/strong> and <strong>Section 2(h)<\/strong> of the RTI Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who Can File an RTI?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714 Any Indian citizen.<br>\u2714 Students, parents, or any stakeholder seeking institutional information.<br>\u2714 Individuals requesting details about policies, admissions, faculty, finances, or governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to File an RTI Application?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 1: Identify the Information You Need<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before filing an RTI request, be specific about the details you need. Examples include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Admission procedures and eligibility criteria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Institutional policies and governance decisions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Examination results and evaluation methods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Budget allocations and fund utilization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2: Address the RTI Application to the Public Information Officer (PIO)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All educational institutions must have a <strong>designated Public Information Officer (PIO)<\/strong> responsible for handling RTI requests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Public Information Officer (PIO):<\/strong><br><strong>Mr. Mohammad Arif Siddiqui<\/strong><br>\ud83d\udce7 Email: <strong><a>rti@hidc.org.in<\/a><\/strong><br>\ud83d\udcde Phone: <strong>+91-9415606888<\/strong><br>\ud83c\udfe2 Office Address: RTI Cell, Haji Ismael Degree College<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 3: Write the RTI Application<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Your application should include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your full name, address, and contact details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A clear and specific description of the information requested.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mention of the RTI Act, 2005, for reference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A declaration stating that the information is required under the RTI Act.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 4: Pay the RTI Application Fee<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The standard RTI application fee is <strong>\u20b910<\/strong>, which can be paid via:<br>\u2714 Indian Postal Order (IPO)<br>\u2714 Demand Draft (DD)<br>\u2714 Online payment (if available)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 5: Submit Your RTI Application<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can submit your RTI application in <strong>three ways:<\/strong><br>\u2714 <strong>By Hand:<\/strong> Visit the institution\u2019s RTI Cell and submit your request in person.<br>\u2714 <strong>By Post:<\/strong> Send your application via Registered Post or Speed Post to the PIO\u2019s office.<br>\u2714 <strong>Online:<\/strong> If the institution allows online RTI filing, submit through the designated email or portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 6: Wait for a Response<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The PIO must respond within <strong>30 days<\/strong> of receiving the application. In case the request concerns a third party, the response time may extend to <strong>45 days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What If You Do Not Receive a Response?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do not receive a satisfactory response within <strong>30 days<\/strong>, you can file an <strong>appeal<\/strong> with the <strong>First Appellate Authority (FAA)<\/strong> of the institution.
